At first, when I saw this on a TV ad, I thought “It can never be that bad”. Now, I really totally relate with this. There’s always something about Mourndays that just screams “NO!”. I don’t want to get out of bed even though I know I have to. I don’t want to do see the sun and somehow it chooses to shine even more or maybe I don’t want it to rain and that’s when the skies won’t stop crying.
Imagine going through Saturday feeling like the weekend could never end. Waking up on Sunday and spending time with family and friends or maybe even alone in your solitude. You are relaxed. Everything is working out so well.
Next thing it’s 6 pm in the evening and you’re already dreading Monday Morning.
Asking yourself questions like “Do I have to work today?”, “Am I feeling sick this morning?”, “Why do I have this job again?”
Mournday might seem like an extreme name but I really can’t blame anyone for calling it that. It can be stressful, to say the least.
Here are some ways to deal with “MOURNDAYS”
Calm Down! It’s not the end of the world. It’s just tomorrow
Make outfit picking part of your Sunday Routine
By 6 pm on Sundays (or whenever your mind starts to get scared), do something fun and make sure you’re engrossed in it
Be fully prepared!
Deal with it and get to work! Your bed feels really nice but it won’t pay the bills
